On the 30th September we celebrated the opening of our new tearooms and our very first training academy. The Mayor of Great Dunmow, Cllr Emma Marcus cut the ribbon to officially open the tearooms, and the Great Dunmow Band played the most beautiful songs with their saxophones.
The fantastic week finished with a 5 star food hygiene inspection.
Another fantastic achievement for the team at our pop up cafe at the Chelmsford Job Fair.

On the 18th June 2020, we opened Sandy’s ‘Pop Up’ 50’s Diner and Training Academy.
Like The Tea Leaf, Sandy’s Diner is part of the Enterprise East Group CIC and is operated as a work-based training academy.
Sandy’s Diner offers a take away and delivery service, as well as an outside seating area for customers to sit and eat.

Enterprise East did a superb job with the training for all candidates, which was evident not only by the trainees themselves but the comments their parents made. I spoke with almost every parent at the event and when asked if their child had enjoyed it every single one had responded with praise of the programme. It’s a testament to Enterprise East, and I know ECL would love to partner with you again should the opportunity arise. Our focus will always be on growth and providing as much opportunity as we can for our customers. Each customer who completed the programme with you now has an even better chance of paid employment and has grown in confidence and skills from the training provided to them by Enterprise East.
