Enterprise East Group CIC has been awarded a 2nd King’s Award.
On this occasion, we have received the King’s Award for Enterprise for Promoting Opportunity.
This is an incredibly special moment for us. Being recognised at this level is a real honour, and something that simply wouldn’t have been possible without the support, encouragement and belief of people like you who have been part of our journey.
Since we started in 2017, our aim has always been to create meaningful opportunities for people who need them most. Whether through our café, refill shop, or wider social enterprises, everything we do is about helping individuals build confidence, skills and a pathway into employment. To see that work recognised nationally feels both humbling and hugely motivating.
What makes this achievement even more meaningful is the community around us — our customers, suppliers, partners and supporters — who help bring our mission to life every single day. Thank you for being part of that.

Our Work and the Community
Enterprise East Group CIC are leading the way in tackling social isolation and employment barriers in our community. Central to our work is a fundamental belief that everyone possesses unique talents and potential. Through our projects, we help individuals on the margins of society to develop that potential, to become more integrated in their community, and create new, accessible routes to employment.
Social Businesses
Our social businesses include some of the best-loved locations in Saffron Walden. Each one provides unique opportunities for supported employment and work-based training, allowing individuals to gain vital skills and experience across a range of sectors.

A Refill shop with a difference, promoting sustainable, and providing work-based training for our students.Cornell Salon

Inclusion and Thrive Employability Programme
The Enterprise East Group CIC offer support for people who have barriers or challenges to work.
Are you unemployed and thinking about starting or returning to work, would like to gain some new skills and work experience?
Why not join our Inclusion and Thrive programme!
Our programmes are particularly relevant for people with complex lives or additional support needs, who require support on their future employment journey. The workshops focus on hospitality and events and are designed to give you the opportunity to gain both transferable and specialist work skills, an accredited qualification, increase your confidence and explore your true potential that will support your journey to work. This programme also offers a chance to make new friends and have fun through exceptional learning experiences and community engagement.
We know that you may feel anxious, but please do not worry. We create an open, safe, and enjoyable learning environment.
